Europe Wanderings

Vlog: European Tour

J. R. R. Tolkien once wrote, “Not all who wander are lost” but sometimes I think the quote should have been written as “not all who wander stay lost.” Because sometimes, for me at last, I travel because I’m not sure what to do next. So I open myself up to exploring the world and in that exploration, I’ll find my path. It always happens. The journey truly is the purpose.

A month before this trip, I had been working in Ireland for a month and came back to my home in Carmel by the Sea, California, only to discover that while I was gone, a major winter storm had destroyed much of my condo. I knew I couldn’t stay in my home and I felt my time in Carmel was up. I wasn’t sure where to go to next so I went home to Europe with no plans, no itinerary and no purpose. A true wandering, which, by the end, had me feeling far from lost.
