My passion for travel began over twenty-five years ago at age 6 when my father would take me on long Sunday drives to small towns that were never on maps. We'd stop in little diners, talk to the locals and order soup on hot summer days. Each trip was unique, interesting and above all, a learning experience.

I still take those long Sunday drives but now they've extended to trips around the world. For the past thirteen years, my travels have taken me through Europe, the South Pacific, Western Canada, and across the United States. Six of those years were spent working within the industry, learning the secrets of the trade and visiting hundreds of hotels. In 2001 I combined my passion for travel with my love of writing to bring stories from around the world to you.

From backpacking adventures to holiday vacations, two weeks to two months, bed and breakfasts to the finest hotels, my motto for travel is always the same, "Experience what you wouldn't at home and learn."
